It's been three years since my last UA treatment. But just for recap, this is how faaaar we've come in my underarm whitening journey. 2018 was the year I decided to invest in a whitening clinic, after several failed attempts at using whitening products. They're either too strong or too mild and my skin would always feel darker. During that time, SkinStation was the most practical. This was my underarm before starting any treatment. My hair was shaved off to prep for the diode laser.
Diode laser hair removal was a success. With no more visible hair growth, I turned to Wink Laser Studio for the whitening sessions. And this was the result of 24 sessions with them:
So I changed. I switched to a mild tawas deo (Deonat), wore sando a lot in the house, and made sure to freshen up every time I sweat. And that worked. My skin eventually lightened a bit more, and happy to say I'm now on maintenance mode, and can confidently wear sleeveless shirts outside.
But of course it doesn't end there otherwise we wouldn't have this post at all haha. I noticed that my underarms are starting to darken again so I bought a new package with SkinStation and here starts another journey...
Session 1: Sep 12, 2026 (Shangri-la Plaza)
I love that they have an app now and I did everything online. From purchasing the package to booking an appointment, it was so easy! Though their app and website can be very slow at times, I'm pretty pleased I didn't have to call anyone for anything.
I actually thought this package uses laser but I was wrong. It uses a bunch of products that they let sit on your skin. I was pretty disappointed after learning this but oh well, I already bought the package. By the way it's ₱4800 for 8 sessions.
They start with glycolic acid, which causes a gentle peeling, then follow it with Diamond peel, which is actually just them suctioning away any dead skin cells from the acid reaction. Then they apply some sort of serum, I don't know anymore, which they let sit for 10 mins, then they wiped it off, put a silver masque or something, left that for 5 mins, then cleaned it up. THAT'S IT. Session lasts 20-30mins. Buti na lang this was buy 1 take 1 essentially so a session only costs 600. The aesthetician said results could come in 2 sessions so we'll see.
The one thing I hate about this package is that they upsell you with aftercare products on your first session. Implying that it's kindof required to get the full effect of the treatment. But since it's not part of the package, I INSISTED ON NOT GETTING IT. If it's really required to make the treatment work it should've been part of the package already. It doesn't make sense too cos the products they're selling are the same ones they applied on me so what's the point of doing the sessions pa. Also they cost a lot like halos 4k din so I'll just see for myself in the sessions to come.
That's it for now, TBC on my next sessions!
